Auto Discounts & Promo Codes Setup

OPS Auto Discounts and Promo Codes are a terrific way to boost your sales and profits on all your projects. You can offer virtually any type of discount automatically by setting up discounts based on a shoppers purchase. (i.e.1-Free Digital DownLoad on any order of $100.00 or more), or you can send a client a unique promo code as a thank you for helping you at the school shoot, or by offering a promo code discount to parents who place their order before a certain date. 

Everyone Loves a Deal! To help increase your project’s buy rate, OPS’s Discounts and Promo Codes can be used in conjunction with your OPS’s email campaigns! 

Please note, we recommend you test your promo codes and discounts on a live order before releasing your project to your clients, just to make sure your promo code or auto discounts are behaving as expected.  

Setting up (Auto) Discount Codes

To set up a Discount, go to Pricing > Discounts > Add a Discount button.

• Next: Complete the Setup Boxes for the Discount you would like to offer.
• Names: Fill-in the Name Box with your Discount Name, short names work best.
• Type: Select One Discount Type per Discount Name. Note: A Free Service such as Free Shipping usually requires a Minimum Dollar or an Item(s) Required requirement for the shopper to purchase to qualify for Free Shipping. 
• Minimum Required: If appropriate, the Minimum Required Box must have a dollar amount for your Discount to be activated.
• Item(s) Required: If appropriate, the Item(s) Required Box must have a minimum of one of the items listed in the Items box selected (by clicking on the item) for your Discount to be activated. Note: All your project’s packages are listed at the end of the Items box if you would like to require one of your packages being purchased to qualify for a discount.
• Expiration Date: If you would like to make your Discount for a limited time only, click on the calendar icon to select an ending date. (Leave the field blank if you want your discount to be permanent.
• Click on the Save button to save your discount.

Don’t Forget to Activate Your Discount or Activation Codes for each project you want them to be made available on! 

Login to your Project’s Options page, Click on the Promo Codes/Discounts tab. Now select the Promo Code or Discounts you want to make active for the project you are working on by clicking its  check box. Then Click on the Save all Tabs Blue Button to save your selections. (Note: You must activate your codes for Every Project you want to make the codes active on.)

Setting up Promo Codes

To set up a Promo Code(s), go to Pricing > Promo Codes > Add a Promo Code button.

• Next: Complete the Setup Boxes for the Promo Code you would like to offer.
• Names: Fill-in the Name Box with your Promo Code.  Note: Not case sensitive. This field should not contain special characters or spaces. Short Names work best, make it easy for your customer to enter without mistakes. (ex 15off, freeprint etc…)
• Type: Select One Promo Code Type per Name. Note: A Free Service such as Free Shipping usually requires a Minimum Dollar amount or an Item(s) Required requirement for the shopper to purchase to qualify for Free Shipping. 
• Minimum Required: If appropriate, the Minimum Required Box must have a dollar amount for your Discount to be activated.
• Item(s) Required: If appropriate, the Item(s) Required Box must have a minimum of one of the items listed in the Items box selected (by clicking on the item) for your Discount to be activated. Login to your Project’s Options page, Click on the Promo Codes/Discounts tab. Now select the Promo Code or Discounts you want to make active for the project you are working on by clicking its check box. Then Click on the Save all Tabs Blue Button to save your selections. (Note: You must activate your codes for Every Project you want to make the codes active on.)

Shortcut for activating Discount & Promo Codes to your projects

In the Add a Discount or Promo Setup page, select the Item Code you would like to add to your projects and click on the Apply button.

Now In the Apply to section, select either the All Projects or Tagged (*specific) Projects button

Next in the Tags section select the Specific Tagged Project(s) you would like your Promo Codes and/or Discounts activated on.

Don’t forget to Save your Discount & Promo Code project assignments by clicking on the Apply button on the bottom left of the page.

(Note: Discount Code and Promo Code activations are handled exactly the same, please be sure to double check so you are certain you are in the correct Code type section for activation.)
